QUESTIONS & ANSWERS

These are questions and answers focusing on our dance classes. If you have questions about renting our studio, please call or email us.

  • What happens if I miss a class?
If you contact us before your child’s class, you will be able to take a makeup class in place of the missed class. If you do not contact us about your child missing class, then it is considered an unexcused absence and you are still responsible to pay for the missed week. We ask that you do not abuse our excused absence policy to attend class whenever you want throughout the month. If you abuse the policy, it will either be revoked or can result in your child being dropped from the class.
  • How do I register for classes?
Check out our schedule and choose the classes you’re interested in. Then fill out the registration form found on our Classes Page. Then pay your tuition and registration fee and then you’re in!
  • Where can I find a list of classes, fees, and schedules?
Click the links to get information about our classes and tuition. Our Instagram and Facebook usually has an updated version of our schedule also. Any other questions? Contact us!
  • When is tuition due?
Tuition is due within the first ten days of each month for that month. If accounts are paid after the 10th of the month, there will be a $20 late fee applied to the account balance. A late fee may result in your child not being able to participate in class. Continual late payments will result in your child being dropped from the class. There is a $20.00 returned check charge for any checks returned by the bank.
  • What kinds of shoes and clothing are required?
Students are required to dress in the class uniform. Details on the dress code are available for each type of class in our “Dress Code” page, listed under "Classes".
  • Can I try a class out first to see if I like it?
While we don’t offer free trials, we do offer a cheaper one time offer of a walk-in fee which is $15. This is a good opportunity to find out whether the class is a good fit for your child. If your child enjoys the class, you can then register them for full time classes.
  • Can parents/guardians be present during the class?
Besides Family and Me classes, parents/guardians are not allowed to be present in the class, unless accommodations are made ahead of time. Dance class is a new world for your child to discover, and all students must be comfortable in their environment for them to flourish. For this reason, family members are not invited into the classroom. There will be an opportunity to watch your child on open house days.
  • We are so excited about our upcoming dance class! We read your class attire guidelines but couldn’t help but purchase a fancy outfit (tu-tu with flowers, brightly colored leotard, etc.) Is this ok?
Unfortunately no, for several important reasons. Uniforms in class have a particular utility. A proper uniform can help students learn proper movement, and is crucial for instructors view and ability to correct technique. Depending on the movements required, they may interact with their uniform in different ways, and could be impeded by embellishments on the clothing. Additionally, they may spend too much time and attention playing with adornments like flowers and sparkles instead of listening to the instructor, and enjoying their dance.
